yeah like subject topic says i was planning on giving this routine a go:
Exercise Reps Sets Leg Press 20 15, 8, 3 Bench Press 12 10, 8, 3 Pulldown 12 10, 8, 3 what you do is 20 reps of legpress then you move on to bench press like a circuit cept you dont break at all.. then you do your 12 reps of bench then 12 reps of pulldown, then you move on again and start again 15 reps legpress then bench then pulldown without breaking ( first 2 sets with same weight, 3rd and 4th set // circuit around you change the weights ) im going to give this a go for 4-6 weeks either way but was going to change leg press to squats and pulldowns with deadlifts, and was going to do this 2 days a week Monday and Thursday and i MIGHT add a 3rd and or.. Cardio day if i felt up to it, was wondering what you guys thought of this? also after 4 or so weeks this routine im assuming will just decline downhill so id prolly pull it off to instead of 4 days every 2 weeks id make it like 3 days every 2 weeks or so.. then after 6 or so weeks id break for a week and go on something new where i do my stabalizing muscles, what you guys think?? -tim- |

IF you do dead lifts, bench, and squats all in one rountine, I don't think you will make it the 4 to 6 week time fram before over training. Thats some hard crap put together. Plus your leaving out shoulders! -------------- .......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! ......minds are not vessles to be filled, but fires to be enlightened ......Confucious once said ,DO NOT play leap frog with a unicorn |

im leaving out alot actually.. im trying do just a few main ones but i dont want too many exercises, when i begin to overtrain which im assuming be 4th or so week then ill bring it down to maybe one week 2 days and the next week i do it once id prolly only do it for 6 weeks anyway i, i love working out my shoulders if there was only one body part it would be that nothing feels better then them but anyway shoulders kinda get used alot as well i want to cut back on them for a little while during this time period hope it works well :) only time will tell

shoulder shelp stablize bench though, i fyou don't trane them , your bench may suffer. I know if i don't do incline presses or flys for a while, my bench suffers.-------------- .......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! ......minds are not vessles to be filled, but fires to be enlightened ......Confucious once said ,DO NOT play leap frog with a unicorn |

I used to do this once a week, as a circuit if I didn't have time to hit the gym that week more than 2 times.....
clean and press 10 8 6 4 bench press(bb or db) 10 8 6 4 squats 10 6 5 5 lunges or leg press 10x3 deads 3x5( optional) 1st 2 are super setted doen back to back, after those 4 sets of each eaxcercise , you do the lower body circuit.....then end it with deads......by thetime i was at the deads I was dead lol If you don't liek that, I would do arnolds one week or one work out....and regualr the other week. -------------- .......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! ......minds are not vessles to be filled, but fires to be enlightened ......Confucious once said ,DO NOT play leap frog with a unicorn |

is the clean and press or clean and jerk same thing im assuming really that good of an exercise? and on a estimate how much should u b doing? little more than ur normal military press?? also i saw someone doing it and they like brought the weight up to there chest like start of milt press how i do anyway but then when they lift above they have like one foot back and one foot forward and there shoulders just boost straight up.. cant that screw ur shoulders up at all?? i heard all about those behind the neck presses and stuff can screw ur rotary cuffs or this just all bullcrap??
ur routine above u stated sounds nice but my problem is that i dont have much weights i workout at home so if i have all me weight on the bench then id hafta take it off there and strip it then put on ground and do the clean and press or vice versa so it kinda waste time.. one time cuz it was wasting time i supersetted benching and bent over rows together but to not waste time i decided to do the rows on my bench itself soon got me form lil beta lol i bet people would of looked at me wierd if i did that at a proper gym huh? haha |
