Can anyone recommend alternate exercises for the ones list in the subject line?

Also- I have strong hands (good grip), but weak forearms. I'm sure this is affecting how hard I can train. Any suggestions?

Deadlifts, cleans & full squats are the Superhighway to functionally strong legs. There are other exercises that may augment these but don't replace them. Trying to utilize alternative exercises as core exercises is taking the windy pothole filled path to nowhere (and is no more scenic than the Superhighway).

Grip strength is almost totally determined by forearm muscle strength (the intrinsic muscles of the hand contribute very little to grip strength).
