Subject: Subject: my drug problem!
My generation just might have been lucky. I had a drug problem when I was
young, but I turned out all right. I was drug to church on Sunday morning.
I was drug to church for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family
reunions no matter the weather. I was drug to the bus stop to go to
school every weekday. I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to
adults and teachers. I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my
parents. Those drugs are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior
in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack,
or heroin, and if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America
might be a better place.

Sandy I agree with you except being drug to church made me rebell lol. But I guess the point to being a luthern was rebellion

I would have to say I agree as well Sandy to your thoughts on being drugged.

sandy, my parents grew up just like you did...as a result, they did the same to me. Sure they changed a couple of things like my father spent more time with me than his father did with him, but i was drug everywhere...except the woodshed, i was drug to the couch where i had to bend over it...that was fun.
All in all, i wouldn't change a bit of it. It made me who i am now, and i like who i am. Sure i haven't been to church in a little while, but ive been wanting to for some reason...
I agree with you...if more kids these days were 'drugged' it'd be a quite a bit better....

Kids cannot be drugged anymore because society frowns upon it. I myself feel sorry for parents because their hands are tied.

Personally, I think some of today's kid could use some of these kinds of drugs!!!
-------------- It is no fun to be normal!!!

hec, i agree....i'm personally worried about when i become a parent. I do believe in spankings when they are needed. I know some kids don't respond to them, so there are alternative methods, but hell...a spanking when you truly mess up is needed sometimes. I got spanked with the belt, or the hairbrush (two broke on my bottome hehe). I turned out perfectly fine..and i don't regret a minute of it. and i got tobasco sauce on my tongue when i cussed...that stopped me while i was little.
Those spankings taught me well...and i didn't turn out messed up like society thinks is happening. I do not agree with beating...hell no one does...but spankings...i value what they taught me
I'm scared as hell.

If a child has nothing to be afraid of, then they have no reason to listen to their parents, or act in a decent manner. So if you just talk to your kid every time they mess up, they won't see any reason not to mess up again. Also, respect is getting worse and worse. And i think that respect is a very important value, and I think that sandys drugs really help instill respect in children. And it's a respect that can last for their entire life.
