Man, this sounds vain but oh well.
I've lost about 30 pounds pretty quickly, over about 8 weeks, which is awesome, but now I'm noticing that I'm getting bags under my eyes. My eyes already have a darkish tinge under them, so I swear this makes me look ten years older. Even worse is I'm only half way to my target weight!!! After another 30 pounds I'm afraid of looking like a bloodhound. I know that there isn't anyway around this short of cosmetic surgery. A friend of my fiance' family is a cosmetic surgeon, so I could get it done really cheap. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or actually had the surgery done.
thanks,
Dale

I haven't personally had it or the surgery done, but one of my coworkers did and it turned out great. She had some discomfort, as you will with anything surgery related, but she said that it was SOOOO worth it. She looked about 20 years younger too!!

if you've lost the weight then reward yourself with a nip and tuck to the eyes- you deserve it.
my friend Penny has gone from 17 stone down to 10 1/2 stone and has kept it off for a year now and so the surgeon says she can have a major transformation to remove the saggy curtain of skin left behind, thus lightening the load again ..
''half body lift''
It's worth looking after yourself and is only vanity when you don't! Enjoy

Before you go for the old nip/tuck make sure that it's not just lack of sleep or vitamin/mineral deficency <I know I can't spell> Just check all the bases first to see if it's something more easily/cheaply fixed!
-------------- Love me as I am . . .
Let me worry about how I look!

I genetically had bags under my eyes.. and when a friend of the family did a rhynoplasty for me, he opened removed the excess fat tissue from under my eyes. The discomfort isn't that bad, in comparison to the rhyno, but nevertheless, has some discomfort. From learning the hard way, you can't rub your eyes for a while. The scarring is very minimal. Basically they are cutting right below your lower eyelash from about 1/2" from the nose side to the other end, plus another 1/2" past the eye.
Plan on being at home for about a week before the stitches come out. Also, you have to go to sleep under general, which many people do not like.. but that's your call.
If it makes you feel better about how you feel and look to yourself, then it's worth it.. don't do it because you want to look good to others
