Mine had to be removed when I was seven, but being a sporty child I was already doing cartwheels a week after. But I'd definitely ask your doc about what (s)he recommends. Just make sure your cut heals completely and that you feel no pain before doings abs. Get well soon!
I got mine out freshman year of highschool...it took probably around a week or two to be back to normal. I think roughly two weeks before i could really get into any athletic activity. Ask your doctor thought if you had just gotten it removed.:)
just spoke to my doc - no resistance training for another month at least - because I had an appendix abscess and my scar is bigger than normal :( :dumbbell:
(I've been doing weights for the last three weeks - oops!)
