I just found out my body fat amount... (ouch)
Ok what I would like to know if I know that I weight 220#
and my body fat is 35% (ouch) that equates to 77# of fat.
If I had a barely acceptabel percentage of 25% body fat that would be 55# of fat. So do I need to lose 22#?
(77-55=22# )
Thanks Glen

I don't think it works that way, Glen. During the initial weight loss, most of it will most likely be water. Anyway, don't think of fat loss as necessarily weight loss. If you adopt a healthy diet, do resistance training and cardio, you will add muscle (which will help you lose fat) and improve your metabolism (again, which will help you lose fat).
Judge yourself by the way you look and how your clothes feel...throw out the scale as it is not a good measuring tool.
Good luck!

i lost about 15% of my body fat by walking 3 to 5 miles a day 5 times aweek and i quit drinking soad. Im 15 years old i know if i can do it anyone can. Just i had bad withdraw symptoms from the caffine so if you have the same go to your docter and ask for some naproxen and that works great. Just rember dont let it get to you it will come off enentualy

Northbriton, I found this site yesterday. I don't know how accurate it is but it seems pretty good. Only reason why I don't know how accurate it is, is because it told me I only have to lose 30.
