I had just a little over a weekago i started a serious diet with low fats (saturated and the such) and high in protein and some complex carbs. Now after a little a week my girlfriend had come up to see me at school, and i had felt a little more trim but i thought it was just psychological, then out of no where she says "you look a lot more trim" and i just got so thrilled cause i knew something was happening. She said my obliques (love handles) look more trim and seem to be fizzeling away. I thought i would be getting such results with the aid of a fat burner but i'm goin cold turkey and i can already feel results. not big ones, but enough for someone else to notice.

sure, keep the protein high with foods that are low in saturated fat (i.e. skinless chicken breast), always had a good salad with lettus and spinnach and instead of dressing i used vinegar (you can use balsamic too) just avoid the fatty dressings. and some rice for complex carbs. I drank only water, maybe some OJ if i wanted flavor and whenever i had the craving for a snack food i would always have some gum to pop in my mouth for the flavor. after about 5 days i got pretty sick of the constant chicken breast, but by that time with intense lifting (with alot of different ab workouts) i was able to feel a difference. I am also on creatine too. The biggest is cutting out the snack foods when you're just sitting around. thats why the gum (sugarless) was important to me and now i just have packs upon packs of gum in my dorm. keeps the flavor running through my mouth to curb cravings for junk.
