I have just started taking a daily multivitamin about 3 days ago. I also eat a protein energy bar after I workout. For some reason I get exausted really easily :surprised:.
Could it be the combination of the 2 is giving me too much of a mineral? or should I just ditch the multivitamin? I was feeling 10x better just eating the protein bar. Thanks -Tim |

you want to eat your protein right after you work out. keep taking the vitamin. How is the rest of your diet? you need more than just a protein bar before a work out.-------------- I must not fear. I am really over weight also!! bUt I feel like a million bucks. Try spreading your meals out more same foods but over more meals. Think of building a fire if you throw a huge log on it will burn a little then stop. if you throw little bits of kindeling on over time, you get a good strong long burning fire. -------------- I must not fear. hey man , you rock, thanks for telling me all this important information. I don't have anybody to help me out on this, so I really appriciate this.
One question, I finally made a workout routine for the week, here it is, if you can just tell me if im working all the muscles correctly, here they are: Day 1 - Arms Close grip bench press Standing barbell curls Incline dumbell curls Barbell reverse wrist curls _______ Day 2 - Arms again Close grip bench press Standing barbell curls Standing barbell reverse curls Barbell wrist curls _______ Day 3 - Shoulders Front dumbell raises Lateral dumbell raises Behind the neck raises __________ Day 4 - Shoulders again Rear dumbell raises Barbell upright rows Barbell front press Barbell shrugs ___________ Day 5 - Off ___________ Day 6 - Chest Barbell bench press Decline barbell press Dumbell Flyes ____________ Day 7 - Chest again Barbell bench press Incline bench press Dumbell Flyes ______________- Im probably not going to do all this in a row, Because my work schedule always changes and im full time but now i have a workout routine instead of just doing random workouts each day and feeling like i got nothing acomplished. Thanks for helpin me man! -Tim |

Tim, only 1 day off you need more than that to rest. here is my split 3 day cardio on off days
monday: chest shoulders triceps incline barbell bench dumbell flat bench dumbell incline bench shoulders military pres cable laterals triceps pushdowns skull crushers extensions thurs: day back biceps fore arm bent over rows(back) dead lifts(back) lat pull downs (back) biceps preacher curls 21's super set with hammer curls sat: legs squats leg raises leg extensions use the ft to create a split work out for you better, it will take the guess work out of it. This site is great for the work outs it will generate for you. Good Luck - Mike:dumbbell: -------------- I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. You shouldnt work the same muscle groups back to back without rest. Are you taking your vitamins in the morning with food? Having your bar 30 min before working out is ok. And you should feel exhausted by the time you finish your workout, 45-60 min probably. As you get used to it you will feel less worn out, that is when you will need to add to or change your workouts. mm's split is a good example or if you are just starting out you could try a total body workout, 3x a week with rest inbetween each one. The way you are doing it will not get you the results you want. Muscles grow during rest and yours are not getting any.-------------- ~Victoria~ ...Do not be discouraged; everyone who got where he is, started where he was.--anon ...There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.--Beverly Sills |

thank you so much for both of your advice. I do agree I need to rest. It is not only after my workout I feel exausted, it is every day for the past 3 days now, I think I need to calm down alittle, because I have been doing strenuous excercises. I am also taking my vitamins every morning with my breakfast. So I am going to stick with the vitamin thing. Thank you for the advice.
