Hello everyone. My name is Tim
I am new here and looked around and saw that this looks like a nice place for advice =)
I just have a concern. I just started taking One-A-Day Multivitamins , and I have also been eating NitroTech Protein bars for energy when I lift. I was looking at the back and it says you can have a iron overdose on the multivitamin bottle. Then I read the back of the protein bar and saw that it has 15% of your daily needed iron. While the multivitamin has 100%. So that would be 115%. Is that ok? There is also a bunch of other vitamins listed too that is in the multivitamin. Should I just stop eating the protein bar all togeather?
Thanks!
-Tim
Iron supplements may be fatal for adults when taken in doses of 200-250 mg/kg from body weight. Iron poisoning may also occur in children who take adult supplements even at low doses. Individuals who receive repeated blood transfusions are most at risk of iron toxicity.
this chart helps also in mg per day

-------------- I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain
