These are nine things that you have to think about before you get started:

(1) Will you Do your cardio
(2) Will you Lift weights
(3) Will you Burn more calories than you consume
(4) Will you Eat 5-6 small, frequent meals and never skip meals
(5) Will you Keep your fat intake low, but include small amounts of good fats
(6) Will you Eat natural foods; avoid processed & refined foods
(7) Will you eat more complex carbs, fruits & vegetables
(8) Will you eat lean proteins with each meal
(9) Will you Think positive: visualize yourself as you would like to be when you started

If you answered yes to all of the above then you are off to a great start. Three weeks from now review the next list:

(1) Have you been doing your cardio?
(2) Have you been liffting weights?
(3) Have you beeb burning more calories than you consume?
(4) Have you been eating 5-6 small, frequent meals and never skipping meals?
(5) Have you been keeping your fat intake low, and including small amounts of good fats?
(6) Have you been eating natural foods; and avoiding processed & refined foods?
(7) Have you been eating more complex carbs, fruits & vegetables?
(8) Have you been eating lean proteins with each meal?
(9) Have you been thinking positive: visualize yourself as you would like to be when you started this three weeks ago?

Wow did you answer yes to all these questions?

If you answered yes, good for you keep up the good work, I know you have gained muscle and lost fat, you feel better than you have in a long time.

NOW: If you answered no to these question go back to the beginning and start over, right now, this very min., it is never to late to start over again.

Good luck to all on your fitness goals, I fell off the wagon 2 weeks ago, and these are the questions I asked of myself, I am back to the bottom list and back on track again.

Hi Sandy,

Thanks again for the helpful post...it served as an a great reality check. I answered a few of those questions with a very reluctant "maybe"...or "sometimes"
