Machine Crunches


  • This exercise is performed on the abdominal machine as shown in the pictures.
  • Sit in the adominal machine. Adjust the pad so that it is touching your chest when you are sitting up almost straight.
  • Put your arms over the pad and slowly bend at the waist, contracting the abdominal muscles.
  • Hold for 2 seconds, then slowly return to starting position.


  • There are various abdominal machines available. Refer to the instructions on the machine if it is different than the one pictured above.
