Wow!

I've been really busy at work lately, and so I haven't been able to hit up the real gym.  That's one of the reasons I went out and got some stuff to have at home, so that even when I can't hit up the "big" gym, I can still do something, and keep my momentum.

So, I get to the fitness center, and all of the machines I want to start off with are taken.  Grumble, Grumble, looks like people discovered the best time to go to the gym, and now it's not the best time anyore.  Anyway, I go and hit some pull ups.  Hmmm, that wasn't nearly so easy last time...On to some curls and tricep pushdowns on the cable rig.  My log says I need to up the weight.  I bump it 20 lbs (don't try this at home kids) Holy cow, that's actually just about perfect!  Man I must have a bunch of extra energy today or something

Finally the Smith machine opens up and I do a full 4 reps more than I was able to do the last time I was at the gym.  Now all the benches are taken.  Grumble, grumble.  I go hit up some reverse flyes at the same weight.  Last time I couldn't complete my set.  Today I nailed it, and I actually felt some muscle up there!  Benches are STILL taken.  Argh.  I find a chest press machine and put over twice the weight that I use for dumbells, and manage 13/15.  Not bad!  I feel a bit of tiredness in the chest.  Now the Pec Deck is open, and I rap that out...13/15 with the same weight as last time which is about 3 more reps than I did last time.

On and on it went...more reps, heavier weight, or both!  I cannot believe how much better this new work out is going now!  I haven't even started taking supplements yet, and I'm already increasing after 3 weeks on this new workout.

I get my supplements on Friday night.  If my Friday workout goes as well as today's did, I probably won't get to try the creatine and Jack3d supplements until Monday.  I'm not going to do it on the weekend, because if the Jack3d is as intense as everyone says, I'll be ruined on Monday. Not to mention that I want to have a full gym at my disposal when I start the Jack3d, because it looks to be something that doesn't really offer peak performance unless you're hitting the anaerobic heart zones (watch out for that supplement takers).  So, I want to really be able to dial in a heavy work out and push it hard, because the Jack3d is supposed to really blow up your workout.

It looks like I'm starting my phase 2 about 10 lbs early.  I hope I don't screw everything up by kicking in the supplements 10 lbs early, but last time I tried this, I plateaued at 210 lbs.  This morning I was 213, and I can probably have that down to 210 by the end of the week.  I wasn't planning on "Hitting the Nitrous button" until I got down to 200, to really power me through the last 30 lbs of my goal.  But, it's not like I'm going to just stop when I get to my goal.  If this doesn't get me there, I'll readjust and try something new.  If this does get me there, then great!  That's when I figure out how to maintain.  I may even get to eat some things I've missed, as long as I keep up the intense workouts.

Anyway, it was a great day today, and I saw some serious progress.  Things seem to be working out well so far!
