Today, I went to the gym and did some volleyball drills, you know serving, passing, setting and spiking the ball. Then, I met a lady who played volleyball in the Army with her unit. She is out of the Army now. She was good, but a little rusty.
I had been coming to the gym every two to three days, and was getting better. I still need lots of work, but since I grew up playing volleyball, and played a little in high school, I know alot about the game.
Well, it is easier to do the drills with a partner and she and I both needed one.
After an hour, we meet two teenage boys who wanted to play a game against us. The lady and I knew how good each other were, so we accepted.
She must of been in her late thirties; and me short and a little heavy and out of shape, but we were ready.
Funny thing was that these boys were so cocky,they asked us if we needed an extra player. Ha! We declined and played them.
Since we both had played before we knew what we needed to win, TEAMWORK! Everybody makes a mistakes and we made several, but we beat those boys. Final score, who knows , all I know we won both games. :)
