This is MY year

Well here goes my very first Flog:

It's only the second month of the year but I am feeling motivated to make this my year.  By that I mean making it a year that I can look back on and say that's where I started to live the life I always wanted.  A life where I don't hate shopping because I'm somewhere between a regular size and a plus size and nothing fits.  A life where I'm not tired all the time.  A life where I am happy with who I am and where I am at this time in my life!   I've lost 12 lbs since Jan 1st and that's a great start to my journey to a healthy fit new self.  I've gotten rid of negativity in my life and refuse to let it bring me down.  I'm not sure what has brought on my change of attitude but I am liking it and look forward to where I am going.  I believe a positive attitude will bring positive things into your life.  I started off the year by ringing it in watching one of my most favorite artists who has always motivated and encouraged me on my weightloss/ fitness journey even when I'd fall back into my old habits and gain the weight back.  After deciding to change my ways I also won a meet and greet with another one of my favorite artist and tickets to another show.  Thats how I know positve thoughts bring positive things.

I'm glad I found this site that shows me some work outs that I can do at home.  I started a kickboxing class last October and I'm absolutely loving it!  It's 3 days a week for an hour and I come home sweating and tired from giving it my all.   I've also started to cut out my carbs, sugar and dairy intake or at least minimize it and I notice a huge difference in how I'm feeling already.

If you have taken the time to read this, I thank you.  Here's to making 2014 a year to remember!

Good on you. What a burst of positivity. Loved it, out with the old in with the new. You motivated me with that flog. When you exercise you feel better. When you eat better and less, you feel better. Than why the h... do we often do the opposite? No more. Keep us on the right path.

Hi Cheller4. :) You should definitely be proud of yourself! It sounds like you are off to a great start this year! I have only lost about 13 lbs since November, but I am really ready to give it all I've got too. I do the home workout, because I can't find the courage to go to the gym by myself, and I don't really have any friends where I live. :) I am glad to have met you and good luck on your goals!
