Surviving a weekend

I live 1.5 hours away from my parents. It's close enough but far enough away.  I miss my family if I don't see them often but I tend to cheat and throw my diet to the wind when I go home for the weekend.  My parents and sister are all over weight but don't neccesarily follow the same plans I do.  I usually just pick at whatever they have in the house and feel guilty about it after.

Well this weekend was different, I went home and followed my same plan that I have been following.  I'm so used to feeling guilty about the way I eat there that I had that feeling again and then snapped out of it because I realized I had actually done really good all weekend minus the working out.

Proof that it's possible to continue on this journey with different situations that stand in your way was this weekend.  I weighed in this morning and I lost 2.4 lbs last week!   What a great feeling of accomplishment!   Can't wait to continue on this journey :)

Good for you! I totally understand how going 'home' can derail the best of plans. I think I gain 5 pounds every time I go see my Mom as well. Now that you've stuck to your guns once, you know you can do it again.
