Starting out

Just had my 3rd child 2 months ago.

First born is 4 1/2

I've gained 50 pounds in about 5 years.

I am breastfeeding.

And I am ready to finally get my weight down, and learn some new healthy lifestyle changes.

I remember saying when I was a teenager, as I ate junk all the time, that i was enjoying it at the time, because later I wouldn't be able to. I think that time has finally come.

I refuse to step into doing any of the fad diets. I want to learn about foods, the do's and the don'ts. Portion control, etc. also making time to get excercise in, which is the hardest part with having 3 kids 4 and under.

I get really tired mid- day, which is reallly the perfect time to work out because the older 2 are down for their nap.

I know I cannot cut calories because I am breast feeding, but that doesn't mean that I can't eat healthy, and take this time to start learning and teaching myself how to make healther choices. I need to make this change for myself and my family. It does suck because my husband can eat anything and not gain an ounce. bleh

So, making it a priority to do at home workouts, and eat better is my goal. I have no doubt that when I do those both consitantly that the weight will start to come off.
