Shoulders and abs

Did a shoulder work out composed of shoulder presses, lateral raises and front dumbbell raises. The excercises seemed fairly easier than my last eight week training. I haven't measured myself, waiting for my birthday to do so, but I can see the difference already. Did crunches..and had a question that perhaps someone can answer for me. I notice in the training log, crunches and other abdominals have a space to provide the weight used. I've been putting in a 1 cause I don't use any weights for it... I've tried a zero but it doesn't stick. Has anyone else had this problem or does everyone else but me use weights when working out your abs?
