I haven’t been at this site very long, but while browsing it I have noticed that a lot of People have trouble with Motivation so I thought I would share how it works and some ideas to help you stay motivated.

Motivation is the most important aspect of success. You can have all the information and plans in the world to achieve what you want, but without the motivation to use it, it’s useless.

Motivation is simply a reason to take action, usually associated with completing a task or reaching a goal. Taking this in mind it’s the REASONS that you need to focus on to succeed at reaching your goals.

So grab a pen and some paper, go somewhere quiet and write down all the reasons why you have to reach your goal. Another piece of advice is that the brain is more inspired to act if you give it a reason or purpose that has lots of emotion behind it. So be honest and real and use as much as emotion as you can. If your emotions are negative that’s fine, just don’t dwell on them. If you are dwelling on some negative emotions then start thinking of all the positive feelings you will have once you have reached your goal and how it has changed your life for the better. Negative emotions are a double edged sword than can inspire great change but if you let them they can also take you down and grab a hold of you but remember that you are in control and your emotions are determined by your thoughts.

If you do this probably and whole heartedly then you will be feeling motived so you need to take action straight away. Immediately start taking steps to reaching your goal. Take the kids or dog for a walk, go for a run, ring a friend and tell them we are going to the gym, book a PT session or throw out the bad food in your cupboard. Just do something and start the snowball effect.
Keep the piece of paper you used and put it somewhere you can see it so that you can refer back to it whenever you need some motivation and continue to take action. You will need to consciously motivate yourself until your bad habits have been replaced by good ones; after all we are just creatures of habit.

This just one of many motivational techniques and exercises and does not encompass motivation as a whole. This is just a simple exercise that will hopefully help you.

Anyways hope it helps any question flick me a message,
