Just keep swimming!

ok, I don't swim, but I recently watched Finding Nemo with my youngest, and hey, who doesn't love Dory?
I am so proud of the progress I have made in my health and fitness the last few years.  Yes I've lost focus now and then, life gets in the way sometimes, but this is an onwards and upwards thing.
I have gone from a heavy drinking, lazy, overweight couch potato, to someone with a 28 inch waist, tee-total (and loving it), regularly working out, and a damn sight healthier and happier, average weight woman who feels ten years younger!
I am type one diabetic for goodness sake, and I look back to how I was and it frightens me how delusional and self-destructive I was back then.  Even a few years before all of that, I was a heavy smoker too!
I am a completely different person (health and physically - I mean I still suffer from the same stresses and head-messes lol, but that will be my next journey), and I am so proud of myself :)
And now, instead of looking in the mirror and thinking ''oh god, why can't I pull it in any more than that??'', I think ''wow, I can see my obliques! Look at those lines! Ok so I'm no fitness model, but I look pretty damn good for an old chick!'' hehe.
Hey its worth it, every moment of hard work, focus and ''sacrifice'' is worth it.
I'm not ''on a diet'' anymore, I am eating well, and eating plenty, but its all the right stuff! If I want a ''day off'', I have one, and then I'm straight back to it the day after.
Love the new me, and I'm holding on to it for as long as is humanly possible!
