Injury

Hi all,

It's my first flog, so excuse my ignorance!

I joined the gym January 2013, as I need to loose about 4 stone in weight.

It was all going very well, 3 times a week for 45 mins sessions, until about a 10 days ago when my left foot began to really hurt in the arch of my foot when I stood or walked on it after a period of rest. I ignored it for about 5 days and continued working out at the gym although I avoided the treadmill which seemed to agrevate the problem. 

In am resting my foot when I can and raised it with a ice pack but it dosen't seem to be helping.
 
For the last 4 days I have not been to the gym and I am feeling very annoyed and guilty because I do not want to loose the momemtum.

Can anyone tell me what I may have done wrong and what I should do to speed up my recovery.
