Warm up: 3x10 walking lunges
Reg DL's: 4 sets, 15x115,12x115,10x115,8x115
Stationary lunges: 3 sets w/barbell 12x60,10x65,8x70
Side lunges: 3 sets, 12x50,10x50,8x50 (these don't feel much like work)
Step-ups: 12x60,10x60,8x60
Not much changed from last time I did this workout, but it was a very solid workout. I had a couple of accidents in the gym this morning...no injuries, well, except a nice bruise. I was using a barbell with fixed weights and after my first set of stationary lunges I was trying to put it back on the rack by backing up to the rack and sliding it off my shoulders. Didn't really work...got one side on and while I was trying to get the other side on the barbell slid, someone tried to grab it, but it hit the ground with a bang anyway. I drew a lot of attention--not the way I would have liked. From then on we had a couple of men volunteer to stand there and relieve us of our weights.
That wasn't the bad one. We do our step-ups in a room that used to be used for stretching, but now they've put a couple of desks in there and moved the stretching area. Well, it has a nice big mirror and the space we need to fit all of our steps. I had just set up my step and placed my barbell to rest on top. I turned to talk to one of the other ladies when the barbell rolled onto the floor...it was just close enough to the mirror to hit it on the way down. I broke the mirror! Fortunately, I was putting away my weights when the manager saw it and I guess she commented, "That's exactly why we don't want people over here." Oh well. I kept thinking of that busted fish tank video.
