First day at the gym in a long time

Began exercise program today. I'm a little bit down about how weak I've become. Forget fat for a moment - I know I'm not in shape. I used to be strong though. The program prescribed by this site involves high repititions. I've never really lifted quite that much (reps), but I used to lift a heck of a lot more (lbs). I set the machines at the weight I would lift back in the day and then launched into the sets and just died. I had to adjust the weight down to next to nothing. I did all the reps though. That was what I was truly worried about - finishing. I'm pleased that I did the work. I hope the strength will come back soon. Maybe when I shed some of the weight I'm carrying on my frame, I'll be able to move some more weight around at the gym.
