Fired

Hi everyone!

I am sad to report I lost my job. The good news is I can get back to focusing on exercise with all this time off. I am still unwilling to give up sugar and soda pop, such as pepsi and coca cola. I just do not understand why this is so important to me and yet, I know it is very bad for my health.

My son tells me everything it (sugar) is doing to our health and our culture and I know he is right. I seldom eat candy or sweet stuff, the sugar I get is in soda pop. If I could even just cut back on it, I would be ahead of the game. One summer in my thirties, I switched to diet pop and went for a 30 minute walk every day and I lost 8 pounds that summer.

The wierd thing is now I get discouraged and give up if I have not lost weight in a week or two weeks and I give up. I want to notice results right away and if I don't, I become certain this will never work and then I stop. This is all so hard for me and I just cannot get the correct motivation and vision for this.

So sorry to hear that you've been fired. And I'm really sorry to say this, but you should give up sugary drinks :-) It makes a massive difference! Just drink water! Results that come slowly, through a change in lifestyle, will last for a lifetime. Results that come really quickly will likely just end up reversing when you go back to your old habits, so keep that in mind!
