In as few words as possible.

Added additional water tank this winter.

Had to relocate filler opening.

Abandoned old filler in tact but without hose to tank because hose is on new filler.

Dock water got turned back on for the season today.

Washed boat for first time in 4 months.

Hard.

Hot

This morning we lost a starter so mechanic removed it and took it to rebuilding shop.

Mechanic turned off DC power to starboard where starter was removed.

I finished washing boat.

Very hot. Not thinking straight.

Filled water tank.

Went inside and heard high water alarm.

Opened engine room.

High water.

None of the 4 bilge pumps running.

3 feet of water and climbing in bilge.

Turned off hose where I was filling water tanks

through old fitting hooked to nothing. Remember, hot, not thinking.

Realized pumps were wired through starboard batteries.

Threw switch.

Pumps came on.

Alarm turned off as water receded.

Bilge dry.

Boat clean.

Filled water tanks through proper filler.

I don't drink.

Haven't smoked a joint since 1982.

I'd smoke one if I had it.

Stick a fork in me. I had enough of a workout washing the beast and scuttling around trying to figure out why the hell my bilge pumps failed.
