Back From Injury

I was doing really well last summer with my fitness goals and then "fell off the wagon."  I was playing football (soccer to the lower 48) although in a commercial league and not professionally.  The training just wasn't enough for me to maintain my fitness.  So after a nutritional disaster of a Christmas holiday I decided that I needed to refocus and return to my exercise and nutrition regiment.  In between training sessions I was on the road running again.  Unfortunately a few weeks in I began having pain in my knee.  Maybe its age or the impact of running on a hard surface, but running is off of the table (at least for now).  I won't give up though.  I put a circuit training program in place for the mornings (takes about 40 mins) and a weight lifting program for the evenings.  My hope is that these two workouts combined with the football trainings/games I'll be able to reach my fitness goals.  I've completed my first week and I admit to being very sore, but I know it will be worth it.
