Awesome workout!!!

As anticipated, the butt blaster is awesome. I had a blast doing it, as did my new training partner. She told me she's going on vacation next week and is bummed because she won't get to do this workout. It was just so much fun...I felt like a kid doing it. Especially the jump squats. Even though my quads were burning at number 10, I was laughing.

Anyway, here's what I did:

Squats 4 sets--12x110 lbs each (out of habit--realized after the 4th set I was only required to do three)supersetted with 4 sets of 20 plie squats

Walking lunges 3 sets 12x15's supersetted with 3 sets of 20 jump squats. I did take brief pauses trying to get through all 20 reps but was determined to make 20.

Step ups: 3 sets 12x10 lbs each supersetting with reverse lunges 3 sets of 15 each leg

Stiff Leg Dead Lifts: 3 sets 12x75 each supersetted with 3 sets of 20 hip extensions on the ball.

Standing calf raises: 4 sets 15x70 (used a towel to protect my shoulders but really need to bring something much softer)
Seated calf raises: 4 sets 15x80

I felt so good after I was done with this workout--giddy almost. To top it off, a male friend of my partner's was talking to her while I was doing calves and she told me later he said, referring to me, "She doesn't need to work out." I laughed, wondering how many times in the past I'd thought that about some thin girl working her butt off. If only he knew how friggin' hard we have to work out to look like we don't need to work out! That's probably the ultimate compliment, although I would have liked to say, you should have seen me six months ago.

Tonight's HIIT: 25 minutes total; 10 high intensity intervals

Diet: no preworkout, but didn't seem to be a problem performance wise. Protein shake after workout (7:45)

9:00 a.m. oatmeal

12:00 p.m. 4 oz. chicken breast, 1/2 c. rice, asparagus

3:30 p.m. 3/4 cup plain yogurt w/ scoop vanilla protein powder (reminds me of cheesecake). I'm all out of berries!

6:45 p.m. chicken--leg and thigh. too lazy to fix a veggie, plus I don't have much left. Must go shopping.
