It's to my understand that the deadlift is an overall power exercise, but if you could, what are the primary muscles and muscle groups that it works? Secondary muscles?

IT will work the entire body. However it is generally said that it works the lower back hamstrings upper back and grip. I believe it does work the entire body almost equally

Curl Jockeys, get outta the squat rack!

I wish everyone would get a partial amnesia and never use 'tone' ever again. (thanks Menance)

Your entire body will feel 'worked' the next day. DLs are my favorite exercise. Just moving that weight feels incredible (especially when the bar is bending ever-so-slightly from the number of plates on each side!).

DL are one of my favorite excercises..there is nothing more empowering than lil ol' 5' 1" me DL my own weight plus some..if i walk away with normal stride then i didnt do it right :p ....and i love to see the *big boys* watch me lift..altho im not sure if they are slightly impressed or think im insane..lmao..but i definitely feel it everywhere over the next few days after...more so in my hamstrings..but also in my forearms, lower back, etc...
