I have a question... I have seen all the " you are this tall you should weigh this much.." charts... I am 4'11".. what should my IDEAL wt be... I would be happy w/ 130. but the charts say 99-105... i can't even imagine being that small.. i have had 5 kids.. i KNOW i will never be 99 pounds!! my body has changed... is it still healthy to be 130? or should i really strive for the 99-105?

I am 5'1" and when i was in high school i weighed 115...but my body had no muscle tone or definition but was by no means really skinny.....

aim for 130#...see how YOU feel about the way you look and how clothes fit to you...i know some women that are around our height and are 100-105...they are really thin but definitely not anorexic..hehehe..some are actually pretty *lean*...

remember that ultimately its about being healthy and the look that makes "US" happy...

good luck!!

As I recall the rule of thumb for women is 100 lbs. for the first 5 feet then add 5 lbs. for each inch thereafter. Of course, that is very general and only serves as a very loose guideline. Your actual body composition (fat:lean muscle) is much more meaningful.
