Does anyone have any "good" evening snacks to eat that will fill me up over nite, and not put any weight on me from eating them at a late period of the day. I realize that you should not eat carbs before you go to sleep, so thats out of the question but what about fruits, and vegatables, will these harm me in the morning?

Fruits and vegetables are carbs. Its best to eat something with protein like cottage cheese, or a small can of tuna. By having the protein your body burns more calories while your stomach is digesting it. Advantage is...burn fat while you sleep, and not store the carbs from the sugar in fruits and veggies.
Hope this helps.

Actually, if you want to eat some veggies in the evening, there is absolutey no problem with that. The amount of carbs and sugars in most veggies is laughable at best. That amount is used for digestion alone. Avoiding veggies in the evening just for this reason is a big mistake, when it comes to bodyfat, at the end of the day, it all comes down to calories in vs. calories out.

I like scrambled eggs (mostly whites) for snack before bed, or a smoothie made with ice cubes and Juiced protien and maybe a spoonful of natural peanut butter (any low or zero carb protien powder will do, the juiced protien is just creamier and some how more satisfying). Cottage cheese is tasty too, if you go low fat.

I am just starting out with this. My first day was March 10, but I usually have protien powder mixed with water or fat free cottage cheese or scrambled egg whites.

I've never seen juiced protien. Is that something you make or buy? Sounds like it tastes better than powder!

No. Juiced Protein is a Pinnacle product, and I don't know why it is called juiced, but it does mix up really creamy in shakes and has good flavor (i have tried the vanille and chocolate).

I believe they call it Juiced Protein because it supposedly has some myostatin protein inhibitor in it. Even if I did think that Myostatin inhibitors worked, I think combining the effective ingredient with protein powder would be about the most ineffective way to administer it.

What about Celery? You could either eat this with or without peanut butter. I would think it would be better to eat it w/o peanut butter at night though. I heard somewhere that the amount of calories burned eating celery is the same as what's in celery!! Think about it!

I eat cook popcorn in the pot, but air pop is better.  Try not to mess with microwave.  This snack is small cal, and high in fiber, and it taste GREAT!!!.  I have eaten this before bed and still lost weight in the morning.  If this is too much, you could always do prtoein shake.  Research recommend casin.

Great advice.. popcorn is one of those good snacks but can also be horrible depending on how it is prepared. And it's also healhier to use the real corn and do it the old fashioned way instead of the microwave version - but obviously that is not as quick and easy.

Well no one said being healthy was easy.  That why fast food and microwave food is so popular.  For instance oatmeal is a good snack (not sure about evening)  but old fashion or steel cut(this take so long to cook) do take longer than instast or MW version.  Thanks for the support

I like eating Greek Yogurt as a late night snack - I usually throw in some berries if I have them, as well. It's delicious, light in your stomach while still remaining filling, and it's very high in protein (at least compared to normal yogurt :P)
