I think this still happens. If u were a fan of building in ur young age, later u would pay for it.Lets say u had a big strong chest. And when u turned age about 50-67 ur chest turnes into a woman's boobs.
How to avoid it?Or maybe we should not go to gym?????

Muscle will simply shrink, not turn flabby. The 'saggy boobs' thing has to do with gravity more than anything else. Just keep lifting and that kind of thing won't happen, right?

According to your profile, you're only 18 - why worry now?

That is the biggest myth out there.. one of the main reason females are afraid to lift weights because they fear getting too big (even though it takes year and year of hard work for that).. and that when they stop training that their muscle will turn flabby.

Once again, muscle will shrink.. not turn to flab.

Lifting will not make your boobs like womens. Check out some of these professional body builders in there 50's, they sure as hell look good to me.

i think lifting must be just on the level of light aerobics.
and not heavy lifting.when u train hard ur muscules will get very old after u leave it.

As you age, your skin loses collagen. That's the stuff that makes your skin elastic. This is why older people get wrinkles, and why body parts start to sag as bit. Big muscles when you're young WILL NOT result in an increase in 'flabbiness'. Muscle turning to flab is, in fact, a myth. Just ask any aging bodybuilder. Just because your friend chunked up a bit after he stopped working out does not mean that that's the way everyone will look. That's called a generalization. Your opinion of how lifting 'should be' is not the same view that everyone has. I respect that. But please do not tell everyone they're wrong just because you have a particular opinion about it. Just relax, continue throwing the weights around, and stop worrying about flab. It won't happen unless you let it.

What happens alot of times is, when you stop lifting, you stop eating properly. So while your chest muscles shink from inactivity, they are replaced by the extra bodyfat that you are putting on by not being lifting and eating badly. All you have to do when you stop lifting is modify your diet and you should avoid flabby boobs.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I think if you put priority in building your upper and mid chest then you shouldn't have a problem with sagging. I'd think most of it would be an allusion of sagging since your poster ends up going bad once you get older. Nothing that a good shoulder and upper back routine won't help out with.

I see alot of women hitting their upper backs and rear delts also to give them a better poster (bad spelling again...) and the apearance of "perkiness".

Well also in the age...thats when men start to exercise LESS since their bodys are starting to get older and weaker....But I think if you keep on weight lifting in your pecs areas when you get that old you will keep most of the "tightness"

I am 36 and I have had naturally big pecs and I see them sag or at least not stand up like they did when I was in early 20s. I lift more now then I ever did then!! Also look at Arnold in TWINS with danny devito he was wearing t-shirts and his perfect chest actually looked saggy in tshirts in that show. But I also know if I don't lift my chest becomes totally sloppy it may be true muscle doesn't turn to flab but it doesn't take long for the muscle to hang there looking like flab if it is not used continuously!

alot of the problem is that when you work out your body requires more intake of food..when you stop working out after you have built up this intake of food a lot of the time ppl still have the same intake of food with no workout. Excess fat!

'boobs' are fat. When you're lean, you don't have them. It's as simple as that, whether you're male or female. Think of a balloon, it never deflates back to the original size after you've filled it, so the only option is to keep it filled. If you make a committment to healthy living and keep lifting/working out, it shouldn't be a problem. Just as a side note, a friend of mine refers to male breasts as 'schneebs'!

Dude, you got it wrong. Getting built at a young age is good at least IMO. When I turn 20 I'll be ripped. As for neglecting to train....just don't. I know I never will, until i can't. Maybe your friend had one too many twinkies after he stopped training.

I have bloody good pecs. Hard as rocks. I can press an extra 5 kg every 2-3 weeks.
It is such a shame that my breasts hide them! Damnit!
so no-one but me and my man will ever know bout them...

;D
