ive had trouble getting the top of my chest to match the bottom, which is much bigger. no matter how much incline training i do the higher part of my chest wont fill out, leaving my chest angling downwards and awkward. any tips?

Do you need to loose weight?

Try to work with dumbbells for a while (instead of the barbell) and also do some plyometrical (jumping) push ups (feet up, one hand, on a step etc)
