Before FT, Lots of Cardio, starving, lifting reps of 15. low protein, too much carbs and too much bad carbs and sugars also clue on FATS!
In 11 months I went from 235 pounds to 180 and BF of 26% to 21%.
After FT, Less Cardio, eating, eating, eating and eating 5 meals a day, Lifting in reps of 6 to 8, 12 on a warm-ups, High Protein Intake, Less Carbs but not too low about 40% to 45% of my intake and rarely 50%, Eating GOOD CARBS and less sugars also knowledge of GOOD Fats!
After 12 weeks I weight 186 pounds and have a BF of 14.5%
I'm most likely leaving a few things out but I just wanted to give a big huge THANKS to the folks of FT that helped me learn and I'm guna keep picking your brains too!
Also just incase someone wants to flame me for saying I gained muscle while dieting let me just say this!
I was eating under 1800 calories day for 11 months and really really over doing cardio. So the muscle is a combination of a few things, muscle memory, a hydrated body, a fed body and lifting heavy (Even if my Heavy is your warm up, it's heavy for me for now!)
11 months ass backwards compared to 12 weeks of doing it right is no comparisons and no turning back for me for I have made a conscious decision to make this my life style and live a healthy, strong and lean life!
PS: This dieting thing is pretty easy stuff once learned and done right, no more fustrations and failures!

Way to go MVP. I have to agree with you about gaining muscle while dieting. It can happen.
Again, congrats!

Congrats MVP! I contribute a lot of what I know today to FT and the fine folks here...but keep that between you and me they tend to get big ego's and start strutting around like they it all.
