Ok so I know eight isnt going to go away overnight and I know it took me a decade to put it on so i wasnt expecting much been on my program about 2 weeks weighed myself and over thankgiving weekend I gained 3 lbs I did weigh in at 358 on wed last week then 362 on sunday I didnt eat any deserts or really anything i had some turkey water and sweet potatoes only ate 1 friggin meal at 3 houses we visited I even passed on my grandmas peanut butter pie I thought she was going to faint! Then I gain 3lbs WTF! Ok now that I've vented my co-workers in the office (all ladies) say it could be muscle cuz they say I look healthier but only thing i feel is my belly getting slopier which i think is a good thing because even though I am big it was always tight if you know what i mean....gotta go get back on the horse and hope for the best next weigh in

In my opinion you are weighing yourself too quickly. Your bodyweight will change slightly from day to day. Do not worry about it over that small period of time. Also, hate to say it but 4 lbs of muscle in 4 days...not possible. Stay the course... you are doing fine

Peanut butter pie... MMMMMMMMMM

You should feel very good about the choices you made during the thanksgiving feasts. That in itself is a HUGE accomplishment. The second thing to note is others are saying you look healthier...that too is HUGE!! Keep on course and you will see change. It is so easy to focus on the stupid scale wieght, even when you have all the other positive signs that say you are succeeding. Your doing great, just keep it up!!!

My weight goes up and down, too. Most of the fluctuation is due to water weight. If a gallon of water weighs between 8 and 8.5 pounds and you're a bit dehydrated, your weight will be lower than usual. Drinking more water throughout the day will ultimately increase your weight slightly, but is VERY necessary when trying to burn fat.

I would suggest weighing in only once per week. Choose a day of the week and a time to weigh yourself (Saturday morning, Wednesday before bed, etc), but BE CONSISTANT! Avoid the scale until that particular day and time. You should be able to see a steady pattern of positive results.

I've noticed my body weight changing day to day, hell, hour to hour... depending upon eating and drinking and all that. Like jb says, once a week is a good indication. Same time, each time.

hi jay, im a big guy like you, 5'11 345-360, i find watching the weight or weighing yourself more than once a week will only add anxiety to an already stressful and complicated situation. with a 2000-2200 calorie diet and exercise i was losing 3-4 pounds a week, from our weight bro its not going to be an overnight thing, paitence will be tested as will your desire, dedication and discipline. ive had to limit my exercise due to a medical condition but find myself while sticking to my diet and drinking lots of water still losing weight. hang in there bro, weigh yourself in the morning and stay the cousre, the first 30lbs and 10 inches of the body is a huge huge boost of confidence. dont be afraid to contact me for morale support, big guy to big guy... :dumbbell:

Hey now drive no you guys got it all wrong, Kc is welcome to come but she has to wear the stripper boots lol:laugh::cool: On the Real Side of it That's kinda of my motivation, I mean i know I have to lose it to be healthy, but that only drives me so much since I not what i call "sloppy" fat I mean I do my yard and throw boxes around and such without getting winded, but after I bought my house I don't have the bank to go on an international trip so that's my motivation...been lifelong dream to see peace memorial park in hiroshima in person I heard its life changing
