I'll be 24 weeks on Friday, and since I'm overweight, my Dr. doesn't want me gaining a ton of weight with this pregnancy. At my last Dr appt six weeks ago, I had gained 2lbs total so far. I had an appt yesterday, and in six weeks I gained 5lbs. Thats a total of 7lbs. My Dr. didn't say how great a job I had done like he has before. 7lbs isn't a TON of weight to gain for being 24wks right? I'm tearing myself up over this lol. Stupid I know...but I am. :(

Nah, you're doing great. You'll start to put a lot of wt on over the next 4-6 weeks though as the baby grows more rapidly. Then you should slow down a bit during the last few weeks. Focus on eating healthy for you and the baby. If you stay away from the junk food, then you will not only save on wasted calories, it'll stop you from re developing bad eating habits after the bundle arrives.

Only 3 months to go...how exciting!!

I'm sure that the gain is because I did indulge a few times in some frozen yogurt..and we had company over and a piece of cake or 2 was had. I'm trying really really hard though to not give in to my cravings, but it's so hard when chocolate sounds soooooo good lol.

Well Cristal....I gained 65 pounds with my daughter...putting me at over 200 lbs when she was born...that started to come off fairly easy...when she was 4 months old I weighed about 160...and found out I was pregnant again!!!!With my son I gained about 50 pounds...again putting me at over 200 pounds...so I say 7 pounds isn't so bad. With my son,the last month I was gaining by the DAY...they thought I had developed diabetes or something...nope...just getting fat, when my son was born he weighed 9lbs 11 oz...you'd think I would have lost at least that when he was born...nope!!!I do know that you have to be careful.I exercised through both of my pregnancies...but I ate ALOT...I was eating for 4!!You'll gain most of your weight in your last trimester...just be careful what you eat...you don't EVER need to be hungry, but don't go overboard either.Your baby will take what ever he/she needs...you get the leftovers...so be mindful of whats left over.Don't panic and beat yourself up...your doing fine...just be careful.

I'm gonna watch what I am eating really carefully, so I can save my 10lbs left to gain for Thanksgiving.

Really though, I'm having a hard time because I'm getting heartburn really bad, and the only thing that gets rid of it is eating enough to make me 3/4 full, or drinking a huge glass of milk. Doing that every hour and half can't be helping any.

I used to get terrible heart burn with my son...they said that meant he was going to have alot of hair...and he sure did...I don't remember what I did for it though...seems like I chewed on tums???Maybe not though so ask your Dr.

I think it's a boy, but daddy is praying for a little girl. I think Tyler got more hormones than I did with this pregnancy. He's cried every morning, and every night this week just thinking about the baby. Freaking sweetheart...I love my bubbaloo.

It's our second pregnancy, but the first baby we get to keep. We had Joelle when Tyler was 17 and I was 19. We were too young and financially unstable to give her a good life, so we placed her into an open adoption. She doesn't understand everything yet, but I think all the pieces are going to click together for her soon. She's very excited that I have a carrot growing in my tummy though. :)

Mutt, you and my hubby are so much alike. You're both big teddy bears. I know Ty is going to be a great dad...I just have to get him to be patient waiting out the last 3 months!

Thats so sweet...the last couple of months are so hard...seems like it lasts forever. You're in my favorite stage of pregnancy..this month and next...then it gets a little rough!!!After my daughter was born I had post pardum depression pretty bad..I cried and cried, and my daughter cried all day too...my husband used to come home and pick her up,she'd stop crying instantly, and he would carry her all over the house...doing laundry, cooking dinner...what ever...then I'd cry harder...I felt like such a terrible mom!!Its funny now...was miserable then!Well let us know if its a boy or girl!!!
