i have lost about 100 lbs and need to loose about another 50. thus far i have done cardio on my treadmill which has resulted in me having muscular legs and thighs and still a flabby midsection. can anyone point me in the right direction to correct the imbalance between the size of my legs and upper body.

Get yourself a good strength training program, it'll definitely make a difference. The best road to fitness is built on diet,strength training, and cardio.
