Why don't you head to the mall...anyone of the "makeup" ladiesat the counters in the department stores will help you find colors that are right for you...you don't HAVE to buy anything..but they'll give you an idea of what works for you with your skin tone...if your venturing on your own...my BEST advice....if you are ging to wear foundation...make SURE it matches your skin...test the color on the bottom part of your wrist...you shouldn't be able to distinguish any color difference...and always remember...less is always better...good luck!!:)

I agree with KC. I don't wear makeup very often and if I need to get dolled up I just go to the mall for a free makeover! Why waste a ton of money on makeup you'll never wear.

MAC counters are the best for free makeup apps and tips. Less is best, and PLEASE, for foundation take the time to have a professional match the right color for your skin tone. It makes a huge difference in overall appearance.

I used to work at a spa for awhile, at the spa they offered one on one professional makeup lessons. Although there is a charge for the services, they go into more detail than they would at a makeup counter at a mall. They also have you apply the makeup yourself, so that you learn how to apply it properly, and give you guidance along the way. Try looking into some spas in your hometown, and see what they have to offer.
