50 pounds in 3 months? That's a steep goal indeed! If you want any shot at making it, your diet and exercise program needs to get dialed in pretty fast. You're probably looking at 1500-1700 calories a day with some kind of exercise(strength training or cardio) 5 days a week.
I agree, very steep, the first 5 to 10 pounds will come off quite quickly, as these are mostly water, then you should aim for a weekly loss of around 1 to 2 pounds, this is a safe and healthy amount.
