I think that 40-50 pounds isnt very realistic at all i think you should be aiming for roughly half of that. Healthy weight loss is roughly 1-2 and maybe 3 per week.
Ive posted this before but what you need is a overhaul of your lifestyle. it all starts with the kitchen start eating healthy and do exercise atlease 3 times a week
