Hi all, i'm new to these forums but have read through a fair few posts but looking for a bit of advice.

Bit of background i'm 26 years old and have just taken up thai kick boxing. I used to play rugby 2-3 times a week and go to the gym 2-3 times a week up till the age of 18 then stopped.

Mt weight ballooned to 16 stone and i'm only 5'8 (i blame alcohol and fast food from uni)

After going to kick boxing for about 4 months i'm now dead on 13 stone and have more defined muscles (i do 2 hour long lessons a week sometimes 1 lesson a week)

I'm looking for some advice on diet as in:

1) are vitimin supplements a good idea
2) protein shakes? yes/no
3) high protein or high carb foods?

plus any other advice anyone can offer me

Many thanks!!

Matt

Yes to #1 Yes to #2 and number 3 I would say for you just keep your ratios balanced like 40& protein 40% carb and 20% fat.

You need crabs for 2 hour lessons or you'll poop out!

Just make your choice of carbs a good choices!
