I do alot of dips and pull-ups. I actually use them as a either a warm-up or a bonus for coming to the gym for the day. I really like to do them. What I am wondering is. I can do easily up to 30 dips 50 would probably be a good number to say would be my max, and with pull-ups I would probably max at about 19 or 20. ( wide grip, hammer grip, and reverse grip) What I do is fasten weight to myself to make them harder to do. I will increase the weight to keep me around reps of 10. Do you think this is smart for building power or foolish? Would love to hear some opinions.

As long as you are doing them with added resistance (weights on top of your own bodyweight), then you should be building mass and strength! These are great exercises that build the shoulders, lats and upper back.
