Try the at-home routine here under exercise program for a good starting routine. walking is an easy start, also.
eata wide variety of fresh foods - fibrous vegetables, lean proteins,whole grains.
drink plenty of water, herbal teas, diet sodas for sweets cravings.
Spend some time reading the FAQs section and the sticky posts in the nutrition forum, lots of good info is on the boards.
I think you are better off starting with an ab routine like basic crunches, you don't need to spend money on a machine to get a good abdominal workout.
