Hey Sean. The best way I have found to lose weight is to really focus on my calorie in take. It takes 3500 calories to lose or gain 1 pound of fat. So if you reduce your caloric intake by 400 or 500 per day and then work out enough to burn another 500 or so that would put you on track to lose two pounds a week, which is 8 pounds a month. You'd be a little short of your goal if you consistently lose 2 pounds a week for those three months, but you would be less likely to gain that weight back.
