Hi. I joined today and I'm very excited. I do have a few questions though: How is it possible that I'm currently consuming 500 calories short of my provided nutritional plan, been doing almost exactly the same workout provided and yet have not lost any fat? Should I really consume more, exercise the same and then I will lose weight? How does this work? Please help, I've been trying for months now to lose weight to no avail. :surprised:

what is your current nutritional plan? And what do they recommend exactly?

I'm eat 100 cals less then recommended, but the calories cut all come from carbs... and it's worked for me for the past month and a half... no plateaus. Everybody is different, and that tool is just a guideline.

Why are you eating less calories than your nutritional plan?

How many calories is this?

It looks like this:

136g protein
272g carbs
22g fats

Total calories: 1812

I'm struggling to meet the 136g of protein. I eat about 80g of protein a day and that's when I try really hard. I've been eating way much more trying to meet my calorie count but still don't manage to do it. I get to about 1500 Calories a day eating veggies and no processed foods. What should I do?

Eat more often. Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day.

Everything is about the metabolism. You can feel it, your body will tell you when you eat too much or too little. Yes, try smaller meals more frequently and incorporate some interval training in your work out.

I'm trying to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Although it's still going a bit rocky I'm sure I will get used to it.
What is interval training?
So far, I've kept to my 5 day weights programme with some added cardio 2-3 times a week. Is this ok or too much?

Thank you all so much for your help!

You could add in more cardio, many women end up needing to do cardio every day to get their bodies burning fat. Alternate between long lsow cardio and short sessions of higher inetensity. Do a fit buddy search on HIIT or look for the Cardio thread in the general forum for some examples of diferent types of cardio you can incorporate.

Thanks for the advice! I will do just that and post the results in a few weeks. :)
(Ps: thanks for all the patience, I've realised almost all my questions are answered when doing a fit buddy search)
