Find an activity that you enjoy - rollerblading, walking, soccer, volleyball, jumping rope....anything that is fun and gets you moving more.
Cut junk out of your diet - cut out as much sugar and fried greasy food as you can. Focus on eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and lean protein like chicken and fish.
Cut out soda if you drink it, that is a major source of empty calories - switch to water, crystal light, iced tea,low-cal/no sugar beverages.
