i doubt it. i dont break out or anything and like i said it happens from heat too so my guess is that it has something to do with heat. as far as i know i am not allergic to anything.

Allergies come in lot of shapes and forms, you don't always break out necessarily. I had a problem with almonds where my throat started feeling tight, no breakout though.

I personally would put my money on a mild allergy to whatever pepper the spice came from.

You could try drinking more water, maybe milk or something prior or during. Just keep a close eye on it if you're going to continue eating spicy food.

From the Mayo clinic:

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/itchy-skin/DS00847/DSECTION=3

Notice they mention Hot weather with low humidity as a possible cause of itchy skin. Winter time is usually a time of low humidty. It also mentions food allergies as a possible cause. You may be allergic to capsaicin, the ingredient that makes peppers hot. I would also not rule out your laundry detergent. You may have to change to one of the "free-and-clear varieties. Being that you are still a teenager you can develop allergies. I was diagnosed with eczyma at 14 years old.

thanks. i might be allergic to soap because i get itchy from using it too. the more i think about myself, the less perfect i realize i am. i sometimes but not very often get pain in my chest by my heart i read that it might be nerves or something. it feels like a mini heart attack though its scary.

Sorry, didn't notice the heat part. Thought you mean heat as in spice and talking about the same thing.

I'd talk to a doc about that heart thing....probably not normal.

Check out a soap called Cetaphil. It is very mild and made for sensitive skin. Also, check out products made by Aveeno they make shaving lotions and other things from natural ingredients.

Just a food for thought. I used to get itchy after a workout, or after I sweated alot from strenous exercise. I upped my water intake and it fixed the problem. Maybe your issue is simply dehydration. Try giving yourself more water.

that is a big possibility. i don't drink much water except when I am in the gym. even then im probably not drinking enough. i am starting to drink more water now so well see what happens.

Mention th eheart thing to your doc - but also - heartburn can feel like that. If you are reacting to hot foods, you may also have a liitle heartburn.

I agree about hydration - if my skin is dry I just have to think about something that might make me itch and I start scratching, lol.

Hot foods make my skin prickle/tingle because they are causing a light sweat - is that what you are experiencing?

Hope you figure it out!

yea thats probably it about the hot food. i doubt the herat thing is heartburn because I don't eat hot foods that ofetn and i don't usually experience it after i eat a hot food. also, i have had heartburn before so i know what it feels like.it actually happens very randomly so i have no idea whats causing it.

I used to get it after drinking. It can be gas or heartburn and heartburn doesn't always come from hot foods.

it isn't in the heart - but it can feel like it is - it can feel like a strong chest pain, where you think you might be having the pain they describe during a heart attack.

If you are actually feeling pain in your heart you definitely should get checked out by your doctor.

k. well im convinced it is in fact heartburn now because its unnder my left pec towards the outiside of the body like at the beginning of the rib cage. i was getting this acid feeling in my stomach which i thought that was heartburn a while ago and my doctor prescribed me medicine. oh i forgot to mention that when this feeling occurs, I cannot take in full breaths of air because it makes it hurt more.
