Hey guys looking to get some bands soon-what should I pick up first?

--------------
As a quarter squatter was dominating the rack, I heard a conversation between an old powerlifter (easily in his 60\\'s) and what I would guess was his grandson (15-yrs old):

Kid: \\"So, why does he stop so short on his squats? That looks weird to me.\\"

Old PL\\'er: \\"He\\'s afraid if he squats deep, his vagina might touch the ground.\\"

Minis and monster mini's. We have a full set up to the strong bands. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use the strongs, and the average bands only get used for speed squats for some of our stronger squatters. The monsters will be enough for you to start with.

I don't think we have the strong bands Steve. If we do, where are they?

Mutt, they are sold separate. If I were you I would seriously consider getting the package deal. You save a boat load of money.

Well only the minis and light bands are going to cost you under 40 for a pair. Personally, I would go with the light bands. There is ton of stuff you can do with them.

Monster mini's if you can only go one way. The lights will cost more than 40 (i believe).

You're right, I meant to say we have the average and lights. It's not like you'll be needing the strong bands anyways. At least not yet. If you need more tension just add the purple and green.

I know I don't need the strong bands, but I was looking at this strength cycle tate posted on t-nation a while back. Something about using the strong bands and like 20%-30%. It looked interesting. The med and light should suffice though.

I'd get the purples next...so you can do other things....like band assisted pul ups, pull threws, pull aparts etc . Don't think the monster or minis will help much in those excercises.
