Hi..im not new to weight training at all. Im in good shape and i train weights 4-5 times a week. I do my cardio 3-4 times a week too. My biggest concern is..im not comfortable with my stomach. I have abs..i see them no problem..but there is fat there and on my sides and i want to get rid of it ASAP. On days that i do my cardio i do about 100 crunches and about 100 leg raises. Thats my routine for my abs. I take protein shakes on my days that i lift weights and its got 45 g of protein..only 1 carb..no fat..and 190 calories. Its very good for you..but does it affect my loss in getting a hard stomach?..This has always been a problem for me..getting my stomach toned..i just dont know what to do anymore..can anyone help me?..Am i doing something wrong?..am i not eating right cuz i think im eating just fine. Please help!

Use fit buddy (at the bottom of the page) and do a search on abs. This is likely the most popular question on this site.

I think what engl4nd34 is referring to is that sit ups are only part of getting that 6 pack look. It really takes a lot for some people to attain a ripped looking stomach. Like georgiagirl said, diet plays a big part in it all but also doing the right ab exercises are key as well. But doing 100's of sit ups isn't the key. Doing intense sets with lower reps will do just as good, if not better. The key is doing your ab exercises slow and intense and vary your ab exercises as well. Good luck and do check out other people's posts about the subject. bb1fit had a great post recently in another area which dispelled a lot of myths about the 6 pack abs. Check it out. :-)
