Something really exciting I wanted to let you guys know about. I?m going to the Arnold Classic & Sports Festival in Ohio from March 1st to March 5th, not so much for the bodybuilding aspect, though I was invited to work the Animal Cage again, but I will be attending the Strength Training Summit. It is a convention of coaches with a TON of learning and practical symposiums with great speakers from around the world including (plus more to follow): William Kraemer, Jay Hoffman, Mike Barnes, John Graham, Pete Bommarito, Leo Totten, Mark Philippi, Brad Gillingham, Karl Gillingham, Pat McGettigan, Dave Oslund, etc. Below are some of the classes tentatively scheduled:

Strength Training for the Young Athlete
Conditioning for the Young Athlete
Long Term Athlete Conditioning
Training Younger Athletes in Small Groups
Strength & Conditioning for Combative Sports
Strength & Conditioning for Jumping & Explosive Sports
Strength & Conditioning for Anaerobic Endurance Athletes
Whole Team Program Development

Strength and Power Training
Deadlift Demonstration and Powerlifting Programming
Biomechanics of Efficient Running
Resistance Training for the Endurance Athlete
Peaking and Tapering for the big event
Science or Marketing? What's behind your supplements
Creatine/Beta-Alanine
Precise Supplementation for Maximum Recovery

Strength and Power Training
Deadlift Demonstration and Powerlifting Programming
Exercise Implementation & Demonstration
Strongman Training Methodologies & Demonstration
Physique Athlete Competition Preparation
Olympic Lifting Methodologies (Demonstration)
Developing Maximal Agility & Speed (Workshop)
Battling Ropes: Sustained Velocity Training (workshop)

Sports Performance Based Movement Screens
Small Group Training Techniques
Postural Analysis Techniques
Developing & Growing your Personal Training Business
Designing an Effective Complimentary Workout Session
How to make every member in your gym a client

Plus, we?ll be attending Powerlifting and Strongman competitions, as well as several Olympic-sports competitions, including a USAW qualifier, in addition to some business meetings for my company.

I?ll be sure to take lots of pics and vids, and get them posted as soon as I get back.

I'm jealous. I'll do what it takes to get to the Arnold next year, though. I'd absolutely LOVE to hang out in the Cage with those guys. Can't get much more hardcore than that....

I've got my tickets already Michael. Tickets to the entire summit were only $200 so I couldn't pass it up.

I was looking over all the offerings and there is no way I am going to be able to fit everything I want to see into the time frame available.

Can't wait to see Big Z dominate the Arnold Strongman.

That's great to hear that you're going! I know what you mean - there is sooooo much to do. Between the Summit, the booth, other business matters, the Expo, and the events, I'm gonna be exhausted! That's the main reason why I had to turn down working the Animal Cage this year. I'm putting together an itinerary right now to see what we can squeeze in - I'm taking one of my employees. For all the symposiums that you get, it is a helluva price, even though I didn't have to pay it. Maybe we can meet up; I will be there for almost a week, staying at one of the host hotels, which, the way the weather is looking, looks like it will be a great thing not worrying about driving all over town, just walking next door...LOL

I've never been, so I'm not sure how to set up my itenarary. I'm going with a training partner, and I'm letting him do the planning.

I figure nothing will go the way I want it to, I'll miss a lot, play it by ear, and still have an amazing time.

It should be easy to find me, I'll be the smallest irishman there. If so you have to show me around, I know you're a vet and I would seriously appreciate being shown around...
