Day One

Well, day one of my new work out regimen. Wasn't too bad. I did interval running for thirty minutes. Two minutes walking, three minutes running. I didn't go at a very fast pace because I'm just getting my knee adjusted to moving like that again. So I did 2MPH for the walking and 5MPH for the running. After a few days of that I'll bump up the speed a little bit. And after maybe a week or two I'll interval between jogging and running instead of walking and running. I'm trying to listen to what the doctor said as best I can, so that my knee can properly adjust to things again. I don't want to re-injur it. Or well, it's never really going to heal. So I don't want to irritate it too badly. But day one wasn't too terrible. After I feel confident I'll try moving from the treadmill to the track, and then I'll start alternating days on the treadmill and days at the track. And obviously I'll start running for longer amounts of time. My goal is to be able to get up to one hour of running. I'm trying to watch what I eat too. I don't know how well that'll go because I've never been good at diets. But I'm off to a good start so far. Hopefully I'll keep it up.
