Hwat is your lifting routine? What is your cardio routine? How many calories are you getting in daily?

It is better to bulk on clean foods - less damaging to your health and easier if you want definition in the future.

If you have a slight increase in calories and the right routine you should see muscle increase 9it is very gradual) and your waist shouldn't get too fat. Your waist will definitely get fat if you use junk foods to bulk up.

my cardio routine is really low since all the treadmils on the gym are busted.... my lifting routine is
MWF = chest bicep legs
TTHS = Shoulder triceps back

my weight is not increasing and my muscles not growing.. i eat clean foods most of the time and proteins

With your situation, I suggest a food log. Once you actually see what and when you're eating, you should be able to identify the problem. Everything you consume along with the amounts, including water, must be written down for 3 straight days. You can even input the foods here on FreeTrainers. Judging by your profile pic and stats, you appear to have a high metabolism. So do I. I always considered myself a hardgainer until I learned how my body reacted to the food I ate. Guys like us need to really shovel it in. Keeping it clean isn't always easy, but it's definately possible.

You lifting 6 days a week. You might consider cutting this down.

Eat more. People underestimate how much they need to eat.

For example, 1 egg and 4 egg whites does not constitute a meal. That is a side dish.

I like JBennet's suggestion of keeping a food log, and shoveling the food in.

I know I'm a novice, but when you work your chest aren't you also working your triceps? And is this the same with your back and biceps? You would then be working your primary muscles six days a week (directly and indirectly). And your muscles "grow" through recovery...I thought. Isn't this correct?

i think steveski is right..it would cut your days down if you worked chest and tris and then worked back and bis then shoulders one day and legs another. Then you would only be lifting for 4 days
